Have no idea what face yoga is? We didn't either until a few weeks ago when we heard about face yoga expert Danielle Collins who is spreading the word in the UK, and quickly the globe. Since doing your daily sun salutations can keep your body toned and strong, it makes sense that facial yoga will have a similar effect - firming the skin and in turn, reducing the risk of wrinkles, helping you look and feel younger.

A great alternative to invasive surgeries to keep that youthful appearance, face yoga works all three layers of skin, increasing circulation and collagen elastation, encouraging oxygen and nutrition to the face's skin cells. The result - reduced lines and wrinkles, reduced headaches and eye strain, and most importantly, healthy, glowing skin.
Danielle describes face yoga as "a combination of face exercises, face massage, face acupressure and face relaxation.'' Move over Downward Dog, Cobra and Savasana, it's all about 'The V', 'The Smile Smoother', and 'Giraffe' these days.

Exercises include a combination of squints and pulses, mouth movements, and sweeping, pressing, pinching, pulling with the fingers at different points of the face to work every muscle.
In total, there are 18 face yoga exercises which take just 20 minutes to complete, Danielle recommends doing these 6 times a week.
