Unless you've been hiding under a rock for the past few weeks you are fully aware of how mother nature recently wreaked havoc on Houston, TX. It's hard to relate and 100% understand the devastation that many people are feeling, if it's not happening to you or someone close to you. During moments like this, I always try to put myself in other peoples shoes, to imagine how hard it might be.
According to the New York Times, 39 people have died and survivors are facing hurdles of their own. Rich and poor, have had their lives turned upside down and tens of thousands of people are turning to shelters. I thought being without a home base during my transition to living between Seattle and NYC was hard, now I feel foolish!
I already made a personal donation to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund, but would like to make a larger contribution, which is why I have decided to donate 15% of all sales profits on my new collection to the relief fund, for the remainder of September.
