"Fast Fashion", is a term used to describe a quick, cheap, disposable cycle in the retail industry. It involves moving trends from the catwalk to the consumer at a cheap price point and rapid pace. Ultimately resulting in more consumption and sales.
The problem with this business model is that it requires REALLY BIG shortcuts.
Here is a quick list of some of the reasons Fast Fashion is bad for the planet and people:
1. Genetically modified cotton.
3. Modern-day slavery.
4. Poor (and fatal) working conditions.
5. Dumping (and other environmental disasters).
