Located just South of Prospect Park, Ditmas Park is perfectly situated, giving us the best of both worlds (urban and suburban all at once). While we are not booming like Manhattan (which I prefer), in our immediate vicinity we have some of the best restaurants in Brooklyn.
Restaurant goers travel from near and far to visit The Farm on Adderley, the farm to table establishment. They have a great garden in the back if you're looking for some outside dining. If you find yourself there for brunch, definitely get the Red Flannel Hash!
THE CASTELLO PLAN
The Castello Plan has THE BEST Brunch ever! The Brooklyn Logger is a brunch goers dream come true! Hash Browns, topped with sunny-side eggs and bacon, mustard greens, sourdough, and fresh squeezed OJ on the side. OH, don't forget the half grapefruit that comes with all of this! Layers of goodness make this our favorite dish at The Castello Plan. Not recommended for those on a diet.
Lea Brooklyn is our go to for thin crust Brick Oven Pizza. The menu is not overly packed with choices, but all choices are good choices. Simple yet refined. Once summer comes around, the front patio is a great spot to unwind and enjoy a glass of wine with friends and loved ones.
OX CART TAVERN
Looking for a casual Sunday dinner? Looking for a good brew? Look no further, Ox Cart Tavern is a relaxed and unpretentious spot that we frequent for Sunday dinner. Daily Specials make their great menu, even better! Ox Cart truly does have a homestyle way of cooking and atmosphere. Their super friendly staff is an added bonus. Our favorites are the Chicken Wings and Warm Brussel Sprouts Salad.
